Local area map

This little-known park is accessed down a continuation of Springwater Lane off Lily Hill Street in Whitefield. There is a car park at the bottom of the hill.
It is a public open space without play equipment, but lovely for walks along the riverbank. To the north is the confluence of the River Roach and the River Irwell. On the far side of the river is a former landfill site which is now pleasantly planted, where deer can be seen.
To the south a well-maintained pathway (buggy and wheelchair accessible) provides a pleasant walk to Coronation Park in Radcliffe, which has a children's play area, ball zone and croquet lawn.

Features

  • Open grassland with unmade footpath along the riverbank
  • Confluence of the River Roach and the River Irwell
  • Pleasant views
  • Car park
  • Accessible pathway leading to Radcliffe
